ABOUT THE ARTIST

I am Robert Moore and welcome to my site. I decided to put together a fun site for you the viewer to enjoy and see what I see through the lens. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Commercial Art (Graphic Design) and a Minor in Technology. I even have a Diploma in website design from the Art Institute of Pittsburg.

Design is my main line of work but I have been digging deeply into Photography. I really enjoy looking for that special shot. Sports has been a challenge I took on and have excelled at. I have shot Appalachian football, basketball and baseball. I have shot many of the sporting events at Watauga High School from football to baseball and even some extra projects for the school.

Event photography is what I love to do, especially festivals, and I have shot Bonnaroo, MerleFest, FloydFest and even Music on the Mountain here in Boone,NC. I have shot many bands and will continue to do that until it just gets boring to me. Not a chance.

I have several galleries to view and will always add some to this site and to my SmugMug site. I also have my graphic design section for Total Design Concepts here on this site.

I have a beautiful family and a bunch of animals. You will see some of my animals on this website. My wife is with me in this picture. She is Mechelle.

I live in a great place in North Carolina way up in the western mountains called Boone. Daniel Boone had a hunting cottage here but never lived here full time. This is also the best scenery on the Blue Ridge Parkway and I find myself lost in those areas often. Please feel free to contact me and enjoy my images.

My Business

Photography

This is a small photography/graphic design business, with a big heart, located in the town of Boone, N.C. Boone is the home of Appalachian State University and has plenty of photo opportunities from Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, the Blue Ridge Parkway to whatever you decide to get into while exploring.

This is the non pay site for me. I have a pay section, which has plenty of images from the area, that are for sale at www.mtnsnapshots.smugmug.com. I will even contract out for specific photo shoots. I have done jobs for the papers, Watauga Christmas Tree Association, Cooperative Extension of Watauga County and others.

Those opportunities range from wildlife, wildflowers, Grandfather Mountain, Parkway, Tweetsie, festivals and sports. The list goes on and on. It is beautiful up here and people have been known to stay once they visit.
